My short film project will consist of a combination of 2-D and 3-D animation techniques. The main character of this story, an anthropomorphic lioness named Gustavia (Gusty for short) is the member of a tribal group and is out hunting for them on her own. While crouched in the grass, a mysterious creature watches her from a cluster of trees.

When she catches site of it, it runs and she gives chase. The creature is a very rare creature in her world, the stone that dangles from it's head is a sought after item with magical properties. Gustavia spears the animal as it is running away and it goes down.

She then cuts the jewel from its head as it lays stunned/ dying on the ground. Now the ending could go one of two ways, and it depends on what direction I decide to take the story's moral. Either the animal starts to disfigure and become corrupt, symbolizing how greed and desire can shape the world into something dark and horrible. Or, the stone that Gusty has taken from the animal will corrupt her, symbolizing how lust and desire can distort and shape people who don't fully comprehend their actions towards another.

Either message is a powerful one, but the question remains on which I will choose.

I've had an idea for a few years now that I've been working with on and off. It's more of a project I'm planning to do for fun rather than prophet, but it's one I plan on doing regardless. I want to take the older Spyro games and translate the stories into Graphic Novel form. The series would span several books, and would likely be published as a non-prophet web comic. It's a large personal undertaking, and I'm not sure when I will be able to start it, but I do plan to finish it no matter how long it takes me.

Here's some of the concept work I've done for it. Some of it new, some old.

These are the three designs I came up with. Not really sure what any of them are supposed to be, but I just kind of went with it.
